Shark Ice Cream

We are gearing up for shark week here at our house. Although we aren’t huge shark fans, we love to celebrate shark week with fun shark crafts, shark lessons and even some shark recipes!

This easy, homemade shark ice cream is sure to be a new favorite for shark week celebrations. We are always trying to find ways to use shark gummies in our desserts and this one is fantastic.

This easy recipe can be customized with other fun add-ins to match any theme. Simply change out the shark gummies for a different candy. Then swap the blue gel food coloring for a new color. You’ve got endless options for fun, themed ice cream dishes!

Homemade Shark Ice Cream

This fun, homemade shark ice cream is perfect to celebrate shark week or just as a fun summer treat! Easy to make and customize with your own flavoring!

Ingredients

  • 4 C heavy whipping cream
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tub white icing
  • 1 drop blue gel food coloring
  • 10 shark gummies

Instructions

  • Pour the heaving whipping cream into the mixer with whisk attachment

  • Add in flavoring if you'd like
  • Blend the mixture for 4 minutes on low and increase speed as the mixture thickens
  • Fold in the 1 drop of food coloring and can of sweetened condensed milk

  • Pour half of the mixture into a 9 inch square pan
  • Drop some of the white icing into the mixture with a few gummie sharks. Do not stir or mix, just let it fall where you drop it

  • Add the rest of the mixture on top
  • Top the mixture with shark gummies and blobs of icing

  • Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight

Notes

You can add a flavor extract to the ice cream for more fun.  Try coconut, strawberry, or blue raspberry! 
You can use a hand mixer in place of the stand mixer.  You will just need to increase your mixing time to get the same results.
