One of the girls’ favorite activities during preschool/kindergarten was the counting bears. Honestly, they still will dump them out from time to time and use them to entertain themselves while they wait for me to print something or setup their next activity. I created these counting bear printables as a quick and easy activity that the girls could grab and work on without much supervision.

These worksheets are simple one pagers that I printed and then laminated for use with the 6 color set of bears. It includes activities for counting, sorting, color/number/word recognition. They’re simple but perfect to stick into a downtime basket or use as extra reinforcement in these areas. We grabbed the counting bear set from a consignment sale when Amelia was little but you can get them from Amazon and most education stores. You’ll want a set that includes the 6 colors and 2 sizes of bears to utilize all the worksheets.
Here are some quick links to the things we used to set up this activity. They no longer make my favorite laminator by Purple Cows (or at least I can’t find it online anywhere) but this one is pretty similar and ours has held up for almost 8 years!
We’d love to hear other ways that you have used the counting bears in your homeschool! Share below or give us some feedback on our printables!
