Shopkick – Our New Obsession

So I’m a pretty techie gal. I am obsessed with apps and when you combine an app with coupons, deals, and free gift cards I am all about it! I was introduced to an app today called Shopkick. Apparently this isn’t a brand new thing and I’m completely shocked that I am just now learning about it!
The idea behind the app is that you are rewarded for visiting stores and scanning specific items within that store. Sounds too easy right? It’s almost too much fun in my opinion! So basically you download the app (this is my affiliate link, you will get your own after you join and you will want to SHARE it!) and you can start earning “kicks” (their term for points) immediately by inviting friends through your referral link, scanning a barcode of any item nearby, and a few other tasks. The real fun is when you actually shop with the app – or window shop as I usually do! You earn kicks for “walk-ins”, which is walking into the specific store and opening the app. Once you are inside the store you can scan featured items from the app for even more kicks.
The app also keeps you up to date on specials and coupons at your nearby stores and allows you to favorite items and even shop directly from the app (all while earning kicks!)
Once you have accumulated some kicks, you can redeem them for gift cards for various stores such as Target, Starbuck, Best Buy and many more.
The best part is that it’s free and it’s actually kind of fun to do!
