Free Sight Word Worksheets for Extra Practice
Make sight word practice fun with these free sight word worksheets that I’ve added to our subscriber library. Sight words are words that able to be sounded out phonetically or don’t follow phonics rules. These words are learned through memorization by using sight word worksheets, repetitive practice, flashcards, games, and other resources.
These free sight word worksheets are group by grade level, beginning with Pre-K up through Third Grade. Each worksheet packet includes over 40 sight words for that grade level.
These worksheets include:
- reading
- tracing
- circle the word among other words
- find the word in a word search
- writing the word
- using the word to complete a sentence
You can print these worksheets multiple times so you can practice the sight words with your child as often as needed. I suggest printing them 2 sheets per page and making a small booklet for your child. Another great way to use these free worksheets is to print and laminate the pages to use with a dry erase marker to save paper and ink.
The Pre-K sight word worksheets include 40 words to practice. Kindergarten to be released in the next few days. The First Grade sight word packet includes 41 words. Second Grade covers 46 sight words and Third Grade includes 41 sight words.
These sight word worksheets are perfect for extra practice at home when distance or virtual learning or as a complement to your homeschool reading curriculum.
