Our family loves cold salad and coleslaw recipes! This is one area where my girls have no reservations when trying out something new. I would say about 95% of the cold salads that we have tried have been winners with both girls too – which is definitely not the case with other categories. This BLT Slaw recipe is no exception. How can you go wrong when you add bacon to something?!
I love this recipe because it’s quick and easy. It’s becoming a go-to when we have unexpected guests for a cookout or we get invited to a last minute meal with friends & family. It goes perfect with your favorite BBQ recipe or you can even toss it on your hamburger!
This recipe holds up fairly well in the refrigerator too. I may even try making this up ahead of time to take along on our next camping trip. I think it would taste great with burgers and mixed veggies on the grill.
Cook 5 pieces of bacon on medium high until crispy (enough to crumble when cooled)
Drain on plate lined with paper towels, set aside
Thinly slice cabbage into thin strips, then roughly chop
Finely dice carrot
Halve the grape tomatoes
Add cabbage to a medium bowl
Add mayonnaise, honey, barbecue sauce, lemon juice, salt and mix thoroughly
Add remaining ingredients
Chill in fridge for 30 minutes

This is a great twist on a classic favorite...even our kids asked for more! Goes great along side burgers on the grill or as a covered dish for your next picnic.
